“ Ordered food to go. There is no parking lot here, only street parking. We were lucky to find a spot right in front of the restaurant. The place was empty. Where we parked, the car in front of us was already waiting for his order as he had his door open. Looks like we were the second party to order food to go. The service was not bad, we got our take out food in about 10 minutes. The place is nothing fancy, a-hole-in-the-wall place. But the price is very reasonable. The Shrimp with walnut dish is delicious! The katsu chicken was good too! We would come back to get more take out next time! ”

“ We usually go to China Garden in Castro Valley, which hasn't been good lately and their prices have gone way up. We got food to go from here recently and were very impressed with the quality and prices. I would not recommend eating there because it's a hole-in-the-wall atmosphere. The service was friendly when I picked up the food and we will definitely be going back. We ordered vegetable wonton soup, kung pow chicken, beef chow fun and Mongolian beef, all for only $50. ”

“ 392 A St Hayward, CA 94541 "China Kitchen of Hayward" is a no-frills old school chinese restaurant. Some people say it's 50-60 years old. I have heard about this place from other Yelpers, and I finally had a chance to visit the restaurant. Okay, my original plan was to go in and have a bowl of Wor Won Ton Soup. But their dining room was closed, so takeout only. So I ordered Wor Won Ton Soup and Beef Chow Fun (w/ gravy) to-go. Total was around $26. How was the food? Wor Won Ton Soup is one of my favorite soup dishes. It should be a combination of everything. Their soup was fair. The numerous dumplings were plump. There was bok choy and sliced pork. Maybe a few small shrimp. The broth wasn't salty. Grade (3/5). The Beef Chow Fun w/ gravy was a good deal for $12.50. Large serving of chow fun with lots of beef, veggies and gravy. It was easy to eat, and could serve 2-3 people. Grade (5/5). Service was okay. They were busy with other orders, so I had to wait. The lady came out to chat, and talk about the restaurant. They seemed to know all the customers who came to pickup orders. This place is all about good food at fair prices. It's like a "hole in the wall" on A Street. It's been around for decades, but the current mgmt has been there maybe 10 yrs (?). It's worth a visit if you like family style Americanized Chinese food. This is an old chinese restaurant. Don't go there expecting a Panda Express or a Chef Chu's. I'm going back to try the fried rice! Gentle music playing.....relax.....be cool. Street parking ”

“ I would describe this place as a semi sketchy looking hole in the wall. That said, some of the best food happens in these kinds of places. I don't live in this area but I make excuses to come to Hayward so I can pick up some food from here. This place has been here for years and is run by a very nice husband and wife team. They no longer offer in house dining since COVID and have a business model based on to- go orders. This is tricky because parking here is very limited but the food makes it worth it. Everything I have tried here is good but the star of the show here is their house special chow mein. I'm a chow mein conneseuer and theirs is incredible. I'd give 5 stars but the lack of parking costs them a star. ”

“ Well, let me start off by saying I haven't had China kitchen in a while. Wanted some good house fried rice and that's what I got it was fresh. The only thing I don't like about the rice is that they have peas in it I like vegetables but I just don't like the sweet peas so I had to pick them out but it the rice was still good , I also had a order of orange chicken that was really good as well.... Service was pretty fast. I ordered over the phone and it was ready in about 15 minutes. Drove there. Got a park in the front. It wasn't real busy today. It was almost closing time. And about an hour. The ambience was cool, but I didn't dine in I had takeout so I could enjoy it at home ”

And Deliciousness !!!! I Perused the Menu and Ordered- Beef Chow Fun In Black Bean Sauce Honey Walnut Prawns Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings To Go!!!! Chef Is the Real Deal Holyfield!!! From the Front Counter I Could see Chef fire up 3 Woks and Cook My Food all together!!! It was quite a Show to see the Iron Chef Cook My Food!!! Literally Magic Before my eyes!!!! If those Woks could Talk!!!! Chef was Literally making them Sing!!! Preparing my Food!!! Chef's Woks are Well Seasoned!!!! My Food was Ready and Packed, All at the same time!!!! Chef handed me my food and I was on my way!!?? I arrived Home and laid my Food out!!! It was a Feast of Chinese Food!!! The Smell was Incredible and Intoxicating!!!! Flavor Bombs Every Dish was Seasoned Perfectly and was Delicious !!!! This is a Baller On A Budget Approved Establishment!!! I'll Definitely Be Back!!!! What a Diamond In The Rough!!! ”
